45th PA Company K

Welcome to home of the 45th Pennsylvannia Company K. We are a civil war re-enactment group that is dedicated so showing how the war was fought and why it was so bloody. We are a small group that is part of a larger organization that comes together to perform different battles of the era. Working with other units we all come together at these events and can put as many as 5,000 plus men on the field. We also do living history events in which we do first person impressions both civilian and military. While on the field we dress and live as the men and women of the civil war would have. We do more than just civil war events. We have also done events for schools where we give speeches and demonstrations for students. This teaches them more about the war and time period than they can learn from a book. We show them the way people carried on the simple act of staying alive during this era. We do what we can to keep the memory of those who fought and died alive. We do not need another war where a brother has to fight against a brother again. Re-living this brutal war is a grim reminder of what war can be and should be remebered so it never happens again. We welcome anyone who is interested in this hobby. It is a very enjoyable experience and a lot of fun!
